Hey Everyone,

I made a really stupid decision. I bought a server. Not knowing any way of powering it.

Is there any way of powering this without a rack?

it is a PowerEdge 1955 Server Blade

Not that I see.. Good luck there..

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Thanks for the enthusiasm xD

I paid basically nothing for it though

You might be able to re-purpose the cpu's and ram for a super cheap but still totally useable gaming rig. Check out linus' video from earlier this week about this.

When in doubt, re-format.

I saw that vid, I thought about it but the power might be an issue still?

Just strip it TBH.  You won't be able to power a chassis at home anyway unless you have C-form power sockets.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.
