HDD problems

Ruins

Hello, I just bought a new 1tb Western digital blue HDD, I connected the sata cable to the motherboard and another cable to the PSU. However for some reason my computer does not pick up the hard drive, I went on disk management to configure the hard drive but I couldn't see the 1tb hard drive (only my 256gb SSD, which works). I made sure that all cables are clicked in, and every time I turn on my computer the hard drive makes a sound. I am pretty sure

Is the drive detected in your BIOS?

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Try a different SATA port on the motherboard and also check if your drive shows up anywhere else like BIOS.

If you connected your hard drive to your motherboard while your computer was running, that's why it didn't pick it up. You need to power off your system, plug it in, then boot up your computer again for the HDD to be detected properly by your computer.

No, I turned it off first then I put the hard drive in
