1 single Samsung 840 250 GB.

Don't waste your money on the 840 pro. The normal 840 is just as fast.

Also, raid only increases sequential read/write speeds and not the random read speed or the speed of the memory controller which are what actually makes ssds feel fast. Because of this, a ssd raid may actually end up slower than a single ssd.

I had two Pro's in RAID 0, and one 250GB for my games. Found no advantage of having my boot drive with the RAID 0 drives.

 

I now have a single 256GB Pro drive for boot, and then have all my games on my 2 250GB non-pro SSD's in RAID 0

 

 

Single drive for windows is best
