OLED is a new , just arriving, tech.

 

Its why I said 'Roll on OLED'.

 

It brings the image quality of Plasma, to the small form factor and higher resolutions of LCD. ..more or less.

 

They do make OLED screens, but they are not 'Monitors', They are TV's and only start at a massive 55". The price is also rather costly, though no where near what I was a year ago.

 

Go to a TV store, find a OLED and check it against a LCD. You will see the difference. Granted the LCD TV will likely be a VA panel not a IPS, but the difference will be night and day.

 

OLED's can produce true blacks, LCD's even IPS, cannot. As such, colour contrast is more or less infinite with OLED.

OLED's also have instant pixel response ,similar to Plasma, so no blurring or ghosting, and can have low input lag as well as it requires less image processing.

 

I just wish LG wasn't the only manufacturer really pushing OLED atm, its taking to damn long lol.
