Budget ( in numbers please ) ?

And how many ohms do you need ?

Why exactly do you want an amp?

How many ohms is not a proper question.

True , But i was asking how much ohms does he need. for example : He has a headphone with 60 ohms of resistance. The phone can drive 30 ohms, So with that in mind , i would recommend him getting a 30 ohms amp.

Ohms don't matter (much) and amps are not rated by what ohm headphone they can drive.

The impedance of the headphone does not matter as much as the sensitivity of the headphone, usually measured in db/mW or db/Vrms.

From what I've seen higher ohm headphones like to have higher voltage output from the amp and lower sensitivity headphone wants more wattage, but I could be wrong.

Generally you want a amplifier with enough power/voltage and low enough output impedance for the ideal dampening factor.

You would generally want a ratio of 8:1, for example a 64 ohm headphone would be ideal with a amplifier with an output impedance of 8 ohm.

amps are not rated by what ohm headphone they can drive.

They are, their output stage has a maximum output current (so a minimum impedance at maximum voltage) but that's usually high enough for any headphone

for example a 64 ohm headphone would be ideal with a amplifier with an output impedance of 8 ohm.

Or lower ofcourse, ideal output impedance is 0

less than $100 AUD

Why exactly do you want an amp?

I was hoping to have a clearer audio experience AND would like to run two headphones at the same time, instead of unplugging/plugging each pair of headphones every time i want to switch headphones, say i just flick a switch and im using my shures instead of my ATh's.
