Having trouble on deciding if I should buy Arma 3?

PapaGangster

Hey guys, so I love CS:GO and insurgency and I have been fighting myself on weather or not to get Arma 3. Would you guys be able to give me your thoughts on weather or not I should get it?

its great and doesnt fuck around its VERY much a millitary simulation though it is not fast paced at times it is very slow. But its very damn intense since there is alot of downtime, gun fights are scary and there is little room for error

That being said you need a beast of a machine to get the most out of it and even then there will be times its FPS tanks its just the way of arma. So a 60fps or nothing mentality need not apply.

Arma 3 is amazing (IMO), many custom online game mods so you never get bored and it suit's almost everyone who likes FPS games. Gamemodes range from Deathmatch to DayZ. I have CSGO and Insurgency and I love Arma 3.

So go for it and you can refund it if you don't like it within 2 hours (Steam)

Might add this later...

It's nothing like CS:GO or Insurgency, it's very much a military simulator.  It's very slow and all about strategy.

Yeah true I guess I can always refund it. Always forget about that feature makes the choice easer now.

I believe my computer should be able to run it comfortably.

I run it at ultra-high (60FPS) and sometimes drops comes in, but that comes with all arma games :P

And the vanilla version of the game is more a "Simulator", but with addons it can pretty much become battlefield 4 ;)

Might add this later...

Very cool game but performance is bad.

"Story" missions don't run too awful. But online custom game modes like King of the hill run pretty bad.

It's mostly CPU intensive. But even with a good processor it doesn't runs that great.

Well, it's much better than csgo and insurgency, and the community isn't cancer, so i'd say get it.

same, and both of our rigs are fairly overkill.
