benq xl2420g HDMI Audio whilst using gsync mode?

Hi,

 

Just being playing around with my new  Benq Xl2420G monitor and I'm trying to work out how to split the Gsync in display mode with the Benq's audio through HDMI.

 

But unfortunately in playback devices are saying not connected or with the RED arrow icon but they are listed.

 

Any suggestions?

When you're in G-SYNC mode, the HDMI input is essentially disconnected since it's run through a completely separate control chip which is not active in G-SYNC mode (it's functionality is replaced by the G-SYNC module).
