Hey guys,

First of all i want to apologize because i cant figure out where to post it other than here.

Anyway im going to a IT-School in germany and we have a thing called dreamspark where we can download a shit ton of windows stuff for free (Visual Studio for programming for example)

Since i just ordered my new PC (or the parts rather) i dont know whether i can use the Operating Systems that are on the shop or if i will have to buy one at g2a for example

Are those versions some kind of locked versions or are they acutally full versions of the OS ?

Does anyone have experience with Dreamspark and the stuff ? I'd appreciate it

They should be full versions. And AFAIK no time limitations. Like with some other software suites.

So if i "buy" the thing i get the key right ? What do i have to do when i got the key ? Do i still need a bootable USB Drive ? Do i just enter the code when i boot up the pc ?

I haven't used Dreamspark since its not available for my Uni. I'm not sure how process goes but I'd assume you register with your schools email and they send you key.

After that you need to do install process. Go to Microsofts site and download .ISO of version your key is for. You will need to "burn" that to USB and boot with that. Key alone isn't enough for anything.

Ok i got the key and i got the ISO file of win10 on my USB drive and made it bootable.

But how do i know when to put in the USB stick if i finished building my PC ? Does it say anything ? Insert boot drive now ?

Connect it to USB slot. Boot into BIOS and check thats it shows USB as first boot device. Save and reboot. Then let it go until you get black screen which say Press any key to boot from CD/DVD... or something along those lines. Pressing any key there will start install process.
