What space games do you play/did you play? Doesnt matter what genre (rts,etc.)

Dont know what I should get as a next game

Dead Space has quite a few space elements and is [imo] an awesome game;

but not totally in space

 

 

Galaga is right up there next to it

What do you want to do in space?  If you like the feeling of flying a spaceship in space, look into Elite: Dangerous.  If you want a horror in space, look into Dead Space or Alien Isolation.  Want to challenge you understanding of physics, play Kerbal Space Program.  Want an epic story, play Mass Effect 1 and 2.  Want to personal satisfaction of slamming your ass down and destroying things in a low gravity environment, play Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel.
