is it worth saving up a little bit more for a 390 over a 380x?

I want to be playing 1920x1080 at 60hz on high to ultra for now.

 

I will want to get upgrades on things like monitor in the future :)

yep - 390 is enough for 1440p high-ultra

390 for sure, the 380x is going to only handle 1440p gaming.

Go for the R9 390. It's a very good GPU and is capable of playing on 1440p at +/- 60FPS.

not all games, I can't reach 60FPS in gta5 at 1080p

you need a 980 Ti for that :D

it worth every dollar

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

My 290x is enough for 4k

it was originally designed for 4K at the time :D
