What cooler are you using?

Crashing is okay :) I'll try and find an FX series overclocking guide but it should be as simple as increase the blck by one, then stress test- if you crash increase core voltage and repeat.

I wouldn't have gotten to 4.8Ghz on my i5-4690k without knowing where its crash point is :P

The standard one that came in with it. I am going to try and upgrade this a little bit more when i get back to my home town. I just want to know what to do so that way i can get it done as soon as possible.

You're going to need a better cooler. Your board might be a little underpowered too on the VRM side.

CM 212 EVO

Be Quiet! Shadow Rock 2

Cryorig H5

Thanks those all seem reasonable in price. is the price on them going to get much higher than that in air coolers or does the price not really jump until i hit water cooling. Because right now water cooling is a no go for me haha I have no clue on how to do it and i dont wanna risk it. Its a fairly new system.

Any insite on a better mother board, what i should look for when trying to find a new one and how i should go about installing everything on it?

What budget do you have?

For the cooler i was looking around 40-50 dollars and then for the mother board preferably under 100 if thats possible for doing what i want to do. Im not trying to spend a lot of money all at once.

How high of an overclock? I wouldn't overclock an 8350 on a board that's less than or equal to $100.

Well Ill look at anything really as long as its compatible. Ill more than likely spend more than a 100 on the board and like 40 on the cooler. I just wanna upgrade and dable a little bit into over clocking. it performs well now but id like to get a little bit more out of the system so i can do more like recording while i game and not really drop frames much.
