Just bought an 240 Gig intel Solid State Drive for black friday. I need some help. I hooked everything together (connected it to my power supply and motherboard). However, now I have no idea what to do. The hard drive doesn't show up on my computer. I just want my 1 TB hard drive to be on here for general use and have my OS and other important stuff on my SSD. However, I have no idea how to transfer stuff to my SSD.

I tried to look up intel SSD guides and other youtube videos but most of them only show how to REPLACE your hard drive with an SSD, rather than how to add an SSD to your computer along with ur current drive.

If someone could help me, I'd love you forever. Not sure if there's any drivers involved or anything along those lines. I just want to put my OS, google chrome, CSGO and a couple other stuff on my brand new SSD.

@jewishdolphins

what windows are you using?

for 7, just type disk management on start menu,  "create and format hard disk partition" should come out

for 8 and 10 maybe the same, i'm not at home right now so i can't check on my windows 10
