NVIDIA driver problem

CJChua

So recently I thought it was a good idea to uninstall old drivers and everything that NVIDIA downloads and reinstall again. I went to GeForce website and downloaded beta GeForce Experience and it turns out it failed. So what should I do? Anyone help?

Have you tried restarting your computer? if not tried booting up to safe mode and install your drivers.

I restarted because it says that I need to restart or I won't complete the process so I restarted. How can I boot to safe mode?

Just download the Display Driver Uninstaller.

Run it. It will suggest you to reboot into safe mode. Click Yes.

It will install all the Nvidia s/w and drivers.

Then download the stable driver and install it.

Try to uninstall the drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). You need to go into safemode to do that but the program itself will tell you that. After you uninstalled them go back into normal mode and install the drivers before the beta ones.

You look up a guide because this really depends what OS and also there are varying steps. I had similar problem with this as well, have you tired installing a older version of driver?

Ok so I found a recommended GeForce driver, version is 359.00. Now I just download it? And it'll be fine?

I love who windows still has these stupid driver problems on windows.

Lesson Number 1. Don't ever use BETA drivers.

Ha. At least your computer still works afterwards! Linux, a bad display driver screws over your installation. GG.
