Which cpu is better?

Im going to be making a build that has a 980ti and an i5-4690k. Should I get an i5- 6600k or i7-4790k instead? Ill be playing triple a games like gta v and fallout 4 on this build. Would there be any bottlenecking between the 980ti and the i5-4690k?

if your editing/rendering on the side go with the 4790k

if not just go with the 6600k or the cheaper 4690k

6600K is newer and will out perform in gaming but in multi-threaded work loads the 4790K is better.

If possible, go for the 6600k. Better IPC, and in the offchance that 8 threads become mandatory in the future (er.... Far Cry 6), you'll be able to sell your 6600k and get a Kaby Lake i7.
