Im going to buy a new monitor and im considering the LG ISP224v >http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-IPS224V-led-monitor but i´ve read some mixed reviews and opinions finding out that the real response time on this monitor is 14ms and allot of people say thats really bad.

So could anyone put my mind at ease and explain

Thanks in Advance c:

Well im a gamer, i like my shooters and my rts and mmos but how much of a impact is it, is it like really laggy, if i watch a 1080p film with a high framrate will i see the latency?

Thanks again c:

I personally have not tried 14ms response time but it will probably affect your shooters but rts and mmos should be fine. Also movies should be fine as well.

I would recommend getting an Asus VS229H-P. Its in the same price range and Asus quality is much better. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1990488&CatId=2775

Got the same monitor for my build, its LED 5ms and the colors are great, well built the only thing its glossy and sturdy if you shake your table alot but still ASUS :)

AMD Radeon 7870 Gigabyte OC / Intel i5 3570k / ASrock Z77 Pro4 /Samsung 840 EVO 250GB / WD Blue 500GB 7200rpm / Kingston HyperX T1 2x4GB 1600mhz / SeaSonic 520w M12 / Thermaltake v4 Black

Hi Daniel :) the 14ms response time is absolutely nothing to worry about. Typical human response time is 200ms, so this will virtually never negatively impact you whilst gaming, even for twitch shooters. The monitor will in no way feel laggy or slow to use. :)

You were a noob once too!

I tried using a TV as main screen for my computer... 25ms response time... It's really really bad, you can see that the cursor is moving after your hand/mouse while there is no such lag on a PC monitor. This delay between hand/mouse and on-screen action makes it really hard to be accurate, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I tried a shooter (Shootmania, very fast and nervous shooter) on the TV, and there was no way I could play nor enjoy the game, there was too much delay. Do not ever buy a monitor over 16ms. Ideal is to have a screen with a lower than 10ms response time, but since you wouldn't notice 14ms is ok.

I have the 24" version of this LG monitor and it's fine, the stand feels a bit flimsy, but if you don't move/shake your table/desk and you will not notice it ;)
