Whats up everyone, first time poster here needing a little advice on my new build. All of the parts are already purchased still in box so I do have some flexibility to change components but hopefully I can just go ahead as planned. After watching the Linus vids on youtube and considering I'm a super noob on high-end builds I decided to put the specs on here to see if I'm way out of line with anything.

CPU: INTEL BOX INTEL CORE I7-4770K
MoBo: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z87 1150 ATX
SOLID STATE: SAMSUNG E 120GB SSD 840 2.5 SATA 3S
STORAGE HDD: WD 1TB 3.5 INT SATA GREEN
RAM: CORSAIR 8GB VGNBLU  VENGEANCE
VIDEO CARD: EVGA GTX780SC 3GB ACX DDHDP
COOLING: CORSAIR HYDRO H100I LIQUID COOLER
PSU: CORSAIR GS800 80+BRZ ATX PSU

Plan to Overclock both CPU and GPU

This is all going in the NZXT CRAFTED SERIES PHANTOM ATX FULL TOWER

If you see anything that wouldn't work for the overclocking (i.e. foresee potential heat problems) please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

If you are gaming get a 4670K and save $100, which you can throw into 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD. Get a better PSU because that one is on the lower Corsair end. I would suggest HX750, it will handle any future upgrade. Other things are pretty fine for a rookie.

EDIT: I don't think you need a full tower for this, get a good mid tower like Corsair 650D.

My rig: CPU: Intel core i5 4670K MoBo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 1600mhz CL9 GPU: EVGA GTX780 SC ACX SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256GBHDD: Western Digital RED 2TB PSU: FSP Aurum CM 750W Case: Cooler Master HAF XM OS: Windows 8 Pro

A 4670k would be just as good as a 4770k for gaming.

Not sure if you have the evo or the normal 840 but you can save some money with the regular 840 if you have the evo. The difference in speed is unnoticeable.

Greens are not the best performers. A seagate barracuda is a better performer and should be around the same price.

Blue ram with a black mobo ._. Match your colors. Also, the sabertooth is a waste of money unless you're in it for the warranty. There are much cheaper mobos that do the same job for much less.

You don't have any heat problems. The main issue I have with your system is your color scheme. You could have went with a gigabyte or msi mobo for a a black/blue theme and it would've fit well with the psu.

What is your budget

Well my budget was $2000 and with all the parts purchased I paid 1733.00. So i'm well within budget with some more to spare. So additional question other than maybe trading out the PSU is there anything else I can eek out with the remaining budget?
