Mobo Pro Gaming

Go to solution Solved by ZetZet,

Just buy the cheapest one that has features you need: usb3 internal header, intel ethernet recommended. Gaming motherboards really don't make much of a difference, especially with a 4460.

I am quite confused on which Motherboard to get for the new PC that im building..

Should I get the Pro Gaming Edition? Or should I just settle for the cheapest one since I do mind the budget?

I cant decide which should I get..

I am checking Gigabyte B85, or Asus B85 or Asus H97..

They have their own Gaming Edition and I dont know if it's worth getting.

My specs are..

Processor: Intel i5-4460

GPU: Sapphire r9 380 4GB OC

RAM: Gskill RipjawsX 2x4GB DDR3 1600

PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze

Casing: Deep Cool Tesseract SW

Thanks for giving your inputs!

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X | MOBO: Gigabyte B550 Vision D | RAM: Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB 3600MHz | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Vision D | PSU: Seasonic Focus+ Gold 750W

And will the cheapest one be good even after few years? I am also thinking what if I upgraded my pc in the future. Hehe.

Thanks for your answer pal.

What do you think you will be upgrading to? New gpu? Doesn't matter one bit. New CPU? The best you can get with a locked mobo is 4790, not much of an upgrade anyway.

I see. One last question..

My casing has only 1 USB 3.0 port while the mobo has 4 USB 3.0..

Should I get a casing with more USB 3.0 ports?

Motherboard ports are on the back. They are not in any way connected, so no. The only part you should be worried about is if your motherboard has INTERNAL USB3.0 connector, which mobo are we talking about here?

I see. Sorry for being so noob lol. I've tried to reread the specs.

Im talking about the Gigabyte.. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5347#sp

It has only 1 3.0 right? So everything will be perfect with my casing?
