Hello friends, I'm a little confused for a while now assemble my pc with AMD, I have a fx 8350 running at 4.3ghz, and I'm a little sorry because i dont know if intel gives me better performance. do i not buy AMD to have a little budget, i could actually buy any intel i7 did it just to save some money, wanted to know if the difference in the only games that I play csgo and dota2 gives me real difference between a 8350, i7 6700k or 4790k in the real world or no difference, the video card that i use is a lightning 290x r9 really do not regret having a radeon. but im wondering if i get better real performance from i7 4790k, i7 6700k, or any i5 k series over a amd 8350?

im wondering if i sell my pc with amd cpu and get a new one with intel i7 6700k and ddr4 or dont worth it the change

thanks excuse my English I am from another country

You should have looked around for comparison before. But yeah, Intel usually beats AMD for performance but their also expensive.

Equivalent intel cpu's almost always beat out AMD cpu's because of AMD's ancient architecture. That change will see at least 20 extra frames if not more. remember cores arent everything

you think worth sell my build and buy a new one with a i5 6600k or 6700k? i only play CSGO and Dota2 i dont know how much better perfomance or fps can get over the 8350... i actually play csgo with 230-280fps, i know if i was rendering or another hard work task intel its far better than amd but for gaming and that 2 games worth the change?

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

you can consider the i-5 series. even the locked SKUs with an appropriate mobo

can easily shave the total cost involved down to a livable and better gaming experience

than what you have now. yeah, the unlocked i7 is desirable, but willing to plunk down

the extra cash for small gains can be deceiving.

thanks all for replies, i can buy a 6600k or 6700k without a problem i got the budget. when i build my rig only the 4790k was in the market and i could buy it, i didnt do it because I thought it was not worth spending so that performance ought not be much for what I was going to use the pc, i only turn on the pc to play 2 games, other times I use my pro surface to surf the internet or anything else
