So i am going to be making a new gaming pc. Ill be playing games like fallout 4 and gta v. Ill be playing those games at 4k and 1080p. I will also be doing some overclocking. Is this a good build for my needs? Will I need a better cpu to run these games at a good framerate like 70 fps+? Will there be any bottlenecking with the cpu I chose? Leave any and all opinions and suggestions in the comments please. My busget is $1500-$1600

Heres a link to the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TRambo/saved/PP6WGX

Looks fine, but gaming on 4k with a single 980ti is pretty bad imo (unless you like playing on lower settings). What monitor would you be using?

I'd suggest 1440p for a good middle ground as the card will be able to max all games at that res at 60fps plus, apart from a few exceptions.

edit: That PSU is overkill for 1 GPU system.

Well on pcparts picker it says 471, so i'd go for a EVGA 650 G2 if I was you.

And nice monitor choice, however seeing as it is 1080p, I guess you mean you will be using DSR when talking about 4k?

Your psu is op. You don't need that much wattage. Also, considering this build is a 1500 dollar build, why not skylake? Maybe use the 6600k instead. As well, 4K will bea little hard on the 980 ti unless you turn down the settings a bit, maybe 1440p is a better bet.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

To be honest he is better off with a i7 4790k, not a skylake system, as it will be cheaper just changing out the CPU and at the end of the day it delivers basically identical performance with the few odds here and there (being like 1-2 fps).
