I was just wondering because of its metallic material that's why :3

It's no problem! I did it with a ducky and i put it in my hand luggage, they asked me what it is and well, i said its a keybard and they were okay with it so yeah :D

Two things can happen: Either they won't give a shit and you can go through with ease, or they will open your bag and check through it to see what the "object" is. Its a keyboard so you will be fine.

Tsa dont like hard-drives in my experience. Also cable management is important so its no messy.

I had a loud argument with a French security guard because of them not letting me take my fishing rods on a plane. That was leaving 5 mins ago. My 4th flight. They were in a cardboard tube. Apparently he Never fished before. His boss ended up letting through and it pissed him off majorly.

It's fine to have in your carry on. I've traveled with tablets, laptops, DSLR & corresponding photo equipment, hardhat, steel toe boots, tape measure / measuring stick, metal pipe calipers, snacks, etc all in my carry-on before. I've done so traveling internationally as well without issue.

For what is allowed / prohibited regarding TSA regulations, refer to the following link. Follow these rules (and follow TSA agents' directions) and going through security is a breeze.
