acer xr341ck vs x34 predator

before everyone says "get the x34" let me preface by saying i currently use an r9 390x and dont see myself upgrading cards before the next generation comes out. i want a 34" 21:9 and id like the 75Hz+ refresh rates of each but im not sure if i should save my money and get the freesync option and just use adaptive v-sync (or adaptive sync if nvidia allows there cards to use it) if i upgrade to a nvidia card later on or if i should spend the extra hundreds of dollars for a quick overlcock and an adaptive refresh rate system that i cant utilize without shelling out several hundred more dollars. what should i do?

I've heard and have been told that  there are a fair lot of issues with the X34. The XR341CK (weird name if you ask me) though, I haven't heard as much, if not at all.

I know the xr341ck is on sale for $899 right now. I'm picking up one just cause of the 75hz if it dips lower than $800.
