I know, I know... IT'S ONLY A 960! but... it's very well overclocked. 1.30GHz

 

It will play those games at average 60fps on a 1080p monitor.

 

 

You could stick with that original Motherboard choice of yours if you want, mine is just an alternate option.

Unless you were dead set on the few parts I changed, for a tiny bit more ($20 more than your parts list), your friend could get a Skylake system. It's a more modern platform and will be a bit faster.
