So im planning on buying a custom PC from pcspecialist for my first budget gaming PC(because I dont want to f**k up the system when building my first PC), and I am tied between:

Intel i5

AMD FX-8350

I looked at some benchmarks online that said the amd was better, but idk because I dont really know a lot about computer hardware, please help!

(BTW my budget is £500 - £600(UK))

no, its not better, unless you do a lot of 3d editing and video rendering and stuff like that and can only afford $150

It entirely depends on your workload, don't listen to the fanboys.

Intel is a better choice in most cases, except for extreme multi-threaded workloads.

Get an i5.
