Check list before buying parts this weekend

jetstarkiller

I asked for help about a week ago. It helped a lot now I am about to buy the different parts this weekend.

I have a budget of $3000-3500 top

I need a screen and nice keyboard. No mouse.

Also I would love to use the Corsair 540 air and a Titan x. I would also prefer to have a cool looking closed water cooling as long as it is as good. Some led would be awesome as well

This is what I have so far.

I know the motherboard is expensive it just looks very nice and has wifi... But I am more than open to something else

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/t6fLGX

I think that everything

Thanks in advance! Can't wait to buy my parts!

For the PSU I am taking a big one to SLI in the future.

PS: Not sure if I was allows to re-post or not. If not I am sorry...

snip!

please for the love of god swap that titanX for a 980ti pretty much EVERY non-reference 980ti is faster than a tianX anyways...for example my strix 980ti is around 10% faster than a titanX...out of the box it beats it and i can overclock it a lot further...

the reference cooler is garbage, it's loud and very hot...don't get a strix though they are garbage...get an MSI gaming 6G or EVGA or something...zotac AMP! is also a nice one at good price.

Other than that looks good to me, PSU is overkill unless you plan going SLI.

Get the MSI GTX 980ti Gaming 6G it will match the motherboard and it's a FLAWLESS graphics card...cool and quiet.

Stop me if you think it is dumb but I was going for the Titan X for so I will not be limited by the amount of Vram for a while. I know 6gb is plenty but it is getting close to 6gb at ultra everything in 4k... or it was my impression at least.

i wouldnt worry about it...6GB is plenty...

here, you have a better CPU cooler, motherboard you went way overkill this one support SLI and has all the features you need i'm sure, this PSU is superior to the corsair and it's also cheaper..i shaved nearly 1000$ and this will perform better than what you had planned:

Ok so everyone tells me that Titan X is not worth it. Then other question should I go with 980ti hybrid or normal? it is only $50 extra.

SLI right away if I can afford it?

It is a closed loop with no color. It isn't loud unless you are running it at max.

i have a colored one but it's garbage...i removed it from my system for fear it would leak...the H100i GTX is the new one and it's quiet...just don't spin the fan at full trottle since it's not needed anyways and it will remain quiet...also control the pump from MSI UEFI just plug everything in case fans header on the motherboard or CPU header.

The cooler also has great look to it and the led are RGB and you can control it through corsair's software...it looks really good and it's not cheap...it's a GREAT cooler.

not a fan of watercooling so i'm not sure about that...a good aircooled card should be more than enough.

NO NO NO NOT THIS COOLER....i have it and it's complete TRASH.

the plastic tank is SUPER cheap and many have cracked and leaked all over the place already...DO NOT BUY THIS COOLER.

The H100i GTX is head and shoulders above this one in terms of build quality.

Good to know. Man I wish they would make a closed loop red or white that is not garbage.

i feel you there might be in the future but right now, don't get this it's not worth it...mine sits in it's box in the closet since yesterday and i feel A LOT better not having my 800$ CAN GTX980ti sitting under this POS.

Honestly, you can trust me, you can't go wrong with the part list i posted for you...everything in there is flawless.

I would also let go the ''BLACK'' WD drive...get a blue one they are cheaper and quieter and just as fast...you won,t notice the difference i tested it many times.

Also, you should check this case right here if you like it...this is amongst the best case available right now and it take less space than the cube, but i respect your choice this is just a suggestion but if i was to look for a new case personally it would be this one:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes515pbk

This is a true premium case the build quality on this is fantastic it has a very classic style but the finish is really nice on it.

Well I do not want something that will leak! I would rather have something a little bit more boring but much more reliable.

Another dumb question should I get 1 980ti hybrid and upgrade to pascal or just get two 980ti now?

If you can afford them (which you can according to your budget), get them.

oups also :

Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  no wifi right?

MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard same no wifi

Which is fine as long as I can fit a Wifi card. But I would probably have add a sound card for the future which would make it impossible.

Sorry for being a computer noob. I am doing my homework it is just taking time!

I looked at his videos. I have never seen that many computer videos in such a short time. My head is about to explode.

I like the ekwb predator 240 but it is expensive compare with the corsair.

The picture might not give that case justice. I am going to look. I will change for a WD blue as well. And probably going to SLI with 980ti Hybrid just because the hybrid run SO much cooler if I want to overclock.
