Ethernet can also be used to connect NAS devices, printers, etc.

In and out. You can use it for many things like NAS, cluster computers, and much more items over LAN. I would go with it as I wish I had it on my MOBO.

The most common are redundency (two different networks) or performance (twice the bandwidth when bonded). Mostly business users that care about this stuff but if you have a NAS you will find transfers limit to 100MB/s across a 1gbit/s LAN and to get closer to saturating a decent NAS you need at least twice that.
