My main worry is the dual core, which nobody seems to be addressing. The r9 380 is a great card, and performance wise is close to the 290. I wouln't bother with a 750 ti. PSU should be fine. The hard drive can easily be upgraded in the future for pretty cheap, but I normally say 500gb to start.

With this build I think a quad core i5 would give the best performance as nearly every game supports 4 cores with more tending to 8 now. 2, even though quite quick, might pose an issue for CPU intensive games. Just my opinions.

If money is tight, I guess you can try it and see if it is sufficient, and if not, resell and buy something else.

COMPUTER: Mobile Battlestation  |  CPU: INTEL I7-8700k |  Motherboard: Asus z370-i Strix Gaming  | GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW ACX 3.0 | Cooler: Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev. b |  PSU: Corsair SF600 | HDD: Samsung 860 evo 1tb

but the i3 does have hyper-threading so it is recognized as a quad core. the other choice is the fx-6300 but in most benchmarks the i3 wins.
