is ultra wide gaming worth it?

magicammo

yes...but those are not there on the 2560x1080...otherwise it's the same thing...same resolution.

but wouldn't that be a reason to get the ultra wide monitor?but by the time I get the monitor it'll probably come down in price

How do i do this is there some sort of video haha

There are some vid's but they use other software, and most don't include creating a 21:9 res on a 16:9 screen, so ill just give u the step by step.

Right click desktop

Click NVidia Control Panel

Go to manage 3D Settings.

Click global settings tab

Ensure DSR is OFF

Go to Desktop Size and Position

Where it says 'scaling mode' check 'No Scaling'

Select 'Perform 'Scaling On' and choose GPU

Check Override scaling on games and programs.

Now go to Change Resolution

Click Customise

Click Create Custom Resolution

Change Horizontal Lines and Vertical Lines to ur desired res. ( I have 3 Super Wide resolutions set myself (1920x823 < this is 21:9, 1920x768, 1920x540)

Test and save, make sure its checked and comes up on the resolution list.

Now your done, once u enter a game it 'should' be on the dropdown list of resolutions if such aspect ratios are supported.
