I have 1987 Ford Ranger Xlt so what kind of radio should I get... I'd like it to have an aux cord port, and I'd like to be able to add like a sub and better speakers. Help please and thank you

At this point most radios are the same, just get one that suits your needs(ie: HD Radio, AUX in, single/dual din, LED color, etc.). I personally like Sony and Pioneer, so far their radios have out lasted the cars I've put them into lol.

Single din radios are thin like this:

3inch-1-Din-Car-DVD-Player-Single-Din-Ca

and dual din(double din) are twice the thickness like this one:

Most of the dual din head units now are touchscreen, however you can find non touchscreen ones. Alternatively, if your car only supports single din and you want a touchscreen, you can find single din units that have a pop out screen.

If you have a dual din car but want a single din radio, you can either ghetto mount it and have a gaping hole(or cover it up with something), or you can get an adapter that gives you more storage like this:

Pretty much anything from Sony, Pioneer, or Alpine(Kenwood is apparently good too, never had one personally). If you can, go to a store and play with the demo units, and just get one that fits within your price range and has the features you like. I got my Sony unit from a CarToys in Texas, I played with radios for a few hours before I found one I liked(It was the only one with RGB lights at the time lol). They are all pretty much the same now, all having the same specs and whatnot(like amps and ports), so it really boils down to brand loyalty and specific features.
