HDD error

Go to solution Solved by Naeaes,

thanks man i'll try it right away. one more question if disable the hdd form device manager without shuting down the pc will this fix the overheat

It might not matter. I mean, if that info is correct, your HDD is not that hot to begin with (line C2, only 33 degrees C) but the air in the drive is. Could be that some component is blowing piping hot air into the HDD but the HDD is coping just fine. Then again, since the current temp on line BE is higher than the worst, I'm guessing false readings.

But technically yes, if you disable the HDD in device manager, or better yet, use the 'remove USB device securely' (yup, it works for internal HDDs too) it'll spin down and stop producing heat itself.

It's the temperature of the airflow within the HDD in Celsius degrees. Not all HDDs have the sensor so it might be misinformation. Or it is legit and it's overheating. Either way, use the S.M.A.R.T utility from the manufacturer that made the HDD, instead of the third party software, to make sure.
