HTPC / NAS

Looking to building a NAS with these parts.

The NAS will be used for:

Photo backup storage (Raid 1 for safety)

Media Server streaming to HTPC.

 

I will not be transcoding, just simply using it as storage, as well as streaming.

 

Do you think this is enough power to do that? I want to keep my power costs at the minimum.

I may opt for a i3 since it consumes 35W of power, or the Pentium G630T.

 

This NAS will be attached to a switch as well.

 

I do plan to setup FTP with hamachi, so I can access it.

You have 6 drives but your raid controller only serves 4. Is that intentional?

 

Also what OS will you be using?  I am looking to do something similar but I want it to be able to play all my movies locally (from a gui) as well operate as a NAS and FTP.
