Don't bother going with the FX-6300, an i3 will perform better even though it has less cores. I recommend the i3-4130 and a Asrock H81 or H97 motherboard.

Intel has a higher performance per core, meaning each core performs better than an AMD CPU core- so in CPU intensive situations the i3 will perform better. Not only that but the i3 won't to the same degree bottleneck a higher end card- also, if you get an i3 you can always upgrade to an i5 or i7 depending on your needs where as with the FX-6000 series your only step up is the 8000 / 9000 series which don't offer a massive performance improvement.

I honestly wouldn't recommend purchasing AMD CPUs at all unless you're on a very tight budget (meaning that your only Intel alternative would be an Intel Celeron or an underperforming Pentium) since you can usually find superior Intel counterparts for about the same price!

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but (I believe) the reason the i3-4130 is better is because of its per-core performance when compared to the FX-6300.

The Pentium G3258 is an amazing chip and doesn't receive enough credit- personally I had one clocked at 4.9Ghz and it ran any game I threw at it flawlessly, even when using a decently powerful card like a GTX 760 or 770. Especially since it's only 50$ now and most H81 motherboards can be had for 55$ that is easily the best combo out there- the price to performance is insane and it also has an amazing upgrade path.
