550W max. Go for an 500W/550W from EVGA or Seasonic. They're good and cheap.

Did you miss the part where he said dual 280x and the Amd CPU? :P Those are quite power hungry cards, them alone on PC Part picker run 625 Watts alone, OC will do much more

Ah yes, thx for saying that xD, well like @Shimejii said go for an 800+ Watt powersupply because it's AMD:P

If you have something similar go with a 1000 Watt. This alone is 760 Watts.

1000 Watt is overkill, I have 2x 290X and I don't even need that much power.

but your are running an Intel CPU according to your Sig, This is an AMD cpu, they are much more power hungry.

the fx 6300 is amd's six core processor not intel lol

he has a 4790k and 5960x, not sure where you are looking.

What should he do with the residual 240W? Look at it?

Well he wants to overclock, so it will be much less than 240W. Each card OC may be pushing 50-100 Watts each, and the cpu could do 25-75 watts potentially.

I'd rather think it will get 50W so there wil still be 40Watt available after he did all the overclocking
