I am planning on building a gaming computer and to be completely honest I don't know what I am doing. I have about a budget of about $1500 (after peripherals). I was basically wondering how to budget it (where to put the most money etc) and what parts to get and in which order, what to look for in certain parts and some recommendations of parts etc. I am not the kind of person that want to play on ultra-high game settings and all that but I do not want to have to lower them an exponential amount just to keep the frame rate playable.

I am new to the forum and I apologise if I put this in the wrong place.

Thanks for all the help

What resolution are you planning on playing at? :D. 1500$ can get you a really beefy Gaming PC (if in USD)

It is in AUD

Well you're screwed

maybe get a slightly nicer case like a HAF XB

I'd say go skylake but the motherboards are way more expensive

also no real reason to get a 24" 1080p display, just get whatever is IPS and cheap
