So I've been using my HP-Pavilon dv6-1199eg for a while now and I've decided to upgrade because its getting pretty old and slow and it can't run the games i would like to play. So I was deciding to make a build soon because black friday is coming up and maybe I could get some parts for cheaper. I decided on a $2500 build for medium-heavy gaming, and probably streaming. I may or may not also make youtube videos in the future. This is my first PC build ever so please no hate if I did something wrong in the build, all advice is appreciated and if you have any changes to the build, feel free to do so.

Ya..I'd start here, it includes a 4k IPS free-sync display, and you really don't need an unlocked i7 unless you're trying to run games for a 144hz display, you also end up spending way more than you need to due to the higher end motherboard and 240m radiator

Maybe go to a 5820k for the extra cores

Not trying to be rude, but that build isn't that great. I know this is my first build but I'd rather stick with my build, sorry.

Well with this build probably 4k

Na.. 980ti cant max all out at 4K even new games have some problems. You can save some money on motherboard to get larger SSD.

In what way is it not great? It's built for performance per dollar, not pure performance which ends up kind of wasting money

the 390 can get playable frame rates at lower settings at 4k even comparable to a 980, with a 980ti you're spending twice as much for certainly not twice as much performance at 4k
