Hard drive for a Notebook

Hi, I have a Notebook with a 5400rpm and 8mb of cache Hard Drive, the 1 TB version of http://samsunghdd.seagate.com/includ...oint-m8-ds.pdf

and i was thinking if I should buy a 7200rpm Hard Drive, in Ncix i saw this 2:

what do you think ?

Both are Sata3 and have 16mb of cache. I tend to prefer WD hard drives, so I would go for one of those. However, if you don't need a whole lot of storage and have some money loose, you might want to consider a SSD. Otherwise as I said, I'd go for the WD 750GB.

note that HGST is part of WD. and GB per Dollar is a lot better with the HGST.

WD is a better option in my opinion, you should also conisder an SSD though it will demolish any mechanical drive out there :D

I would use the 1tb drive as an expansion and get a cheap SSD.

I think the WD drive is the best way to go, you can't go wrong with a WD drive. Also if you are replacing a notebook hard drive make sure your notbook is compatible with the drive...

The fact that HGST is from WD was what made me doubt, but i think i will go with the Scorpio Black. Its a 2012 i7 Notebook, it should be compatible

The WD Scorpio Black has a bandwidth of 3GB/s, isnt that sata 2 ?

Get the WD drive instead not HGST. It will be compatible. You might want to consider a SSD as Larrivee013 said but if you need space go for the WD one.
