You should get a 5820k instead of a 6700k because the 5820k has 6 cores and is more geared towards productivity.

My Build: Phoenix

Processor: Intel i7 4770k, Motherboard: Asus Z97-P RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB GPU: MSI GTX 1050TI OC Case: Corsair ICUE 4000X, Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB + 500GB + 2TB HDD PSU: Corsair RM750, Cooling: Corsair H100i Capellix,

Single channel RAM, while not important for gaming can have an impact with productivity type tasks. Also I imagine 16gb would be useful for video editing anyway.

PSU is ok but there are better quality ones out there at a similar price point.

If you'd thought about a 5820k, you could wait and get a 6800k/6850k. Single threaded will be lower than the 6700k in all cases though. Also in the UK The skylake K chips come with a heavy premium at the moment; a 6700 would save you a lot (£65 atm) if you aren't going to OC massively.

Why get an ITX board for an mATX case? Surely you could get better value from larger board? All 4 big mobo makers do more extensive cheaper boards, with 4 DIMM slots.

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.
