Hi

Just wondering if its a good idea to shop for parts on blackfriday (noob here). I am wondering because on my last thread (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/482672-surge-protector-and-where-to-put-your-pc/#entry6475781) someone said this :

.......

3. It doesn't take a lot to power a 1080p screen with ultra settings on the newest titles. You don't need a $340 gtx 970 to power a 1080p screen. I say wait for a gtx 960 Black Friday deal of $150 and you'll be golden.

With that said, where are the deals? Are they worth it? And I will be planning to build a gaming pc with arround 900$ US but I live in Canada.

Not asking for full builds just for cheap parts on blackfriday.

Thanks

Only Black Friday will tell.  Typically, GPU's don't go on sale as much.

They usually start having deals 5-7 days before Nov 26th. Start keeping tabs on sites starting on the 20th and subscribe on 'Hot Deals' section.
