Bitcoin Mining help

I know it seems silly but I am wanting to use my CPU and GPU to mine bitcoins, so I downloaded guiminier and I am using my gpu (760) to mine, for some reason it is only running at 88 mhash, but my friend has the card equilivant on AMD (290 I think), and is getting 800mhash, so that is my first issue.. My second issue is that it wont use my CPU, which is a i7-5820k, is this because it doesnt have intergrated graphics? Thanks, and sorry if it is hard to understand in on my phone.

Not worth it, My friend has at leaste 3k in bitcoins but prices fluciate way too much and it will plummet any time and go back up and down, ect. Its not a very wise investment (hes been mining when it was worth mining)

Your friend is very rich, bit coins are around $330 a piece, also, it is not as if I am ivesting my life, it is going to be more of a hobby.

I've had miners... it is NOT worth it anymore. I dont care if you have the best miner in the world.. electric costs very easily outways what youll make. Dont bother do folding or something instead if thats what your into ;)

That still doesnt answer my question. I am only doing it to learn how it all works, not to make money, and I'll buy actual miners, but please answer my questions.

If you insist lol. Know that you will NEVER get any return whatsoever even with miners.... Your gpu wont get close to his because its not amd.. AMD crushes nvidia when it comes to mining. As far as the CPU goes most forms of mining wont even use the CPU anymore sense it doesn't get close to what a GPU would.

Basically you are just throwing your PC away and wasting energy. DON'T MINE WITH ANYTHING BUT AN ASIC. Even then you won't make a lot. Not worth it get a job

Don't try to mine bitcoins today.

mine something asic-resistant like litecoins ( it think ?) or dogecoins .

It'll cost you much more to run the cards than you'll make and you'll earn pennies a month at this point.
