Force a program to run *without* admin privileges

Here's the situation, Im trying to run cs:go at school(Blah blah, do work, blah blah, We get free days, k), And i have found a way to run it without steam, Now everythings fine and dandy, cs go in this program doesnt require admin, but the launcher for it does(also cant bypass launcher). is there anyway to force the launcher not to use admin privileges?

Nope. It's illegal to bypass school securities on computers and other technology. There's a way, but we can't tell you.

pretty sure we'd get in trouble for telling you, so we won't. I play cs 1.6 on the school computer with the rest of my class in comsci. You'd need to run it off usb and have privileges that the rest of the school doesn't have.

Im fairly certain the launcher requires permissions because it actively writes and creates environments on the computer, or creates network exceptions or something like that. I haven't looked into it extensively.

 

So I don't think you'll be able to get it running w/o perms. You could always try booting off a usb though, i believe that will give you greater permissions over the hard drive. if its a network thing though, then you're out of luck; We can't exactly help you bypassing a "security" feature.

If you need admin access to run a program and you bypass the necessity for an admin password, that's illegal. If CS:GO running through Steam requires an admin, CS:GO running by itself is also in need of an admin's permission. An admin-required program and its substrates are restricted to admin disclosure and disallowed. It's illegal running CS:GO on your school computer due to this.

Not my fault but you can do it by opening a text file putting cmd.com in it save it as a batch file and when you run it, it will open CMD. You can also look up a batch file that you run that will unlock all the features on the computer. So find all hidden drives on a network and give you perms to use apps. Secondly you could just take the CMOS battery out wait 10 minutes put it back in and play CS off the USB. Otherwise schools have booting from USB turned off due to virus protection and kids like you. Do it at your own risk and it is not my fault if you get in trouble. Also the computer probably can't even run CSGO maybe source

That is why you run a batch file to get admin privileges. It is very weird on how it works to get it. I am not going to tell the kid it because if he wants to play CSGO bad enough he can find it himself.

It depends on school IT security. For instance, my school has a command, program, and file folder blacklist that we can't access at all.

I actually go to a private school, so if I do anything against school policy involving technology, it is only punishable by the school, not by law. 

 

I ran a screen capture software (because keyloggers weren't usable) to view the admin password via the screen recorders key capture feature that wasn't blocked. I downloaded SketchUp and had my IT "professionals" enter the password to install it (they agreed to it). I later viewed the captured video with key log and had the password.

Oh that is some crafty stuff. Yeah I go to a public school and they don't care what you do unless it is drug related

they don't have usb boot disabled, I've booted into Ubuntu before, but that does work for 30 people, the object is to spread it around, like cod 1, cs 1.6, and halo has been for the last 11 weeks

But if it was blocked originally then they don't want you to gain access to it. By gaining access to it, you have bypassed a security measure. This falls into illegal technology usage.

If you need admin access to open the launcher then you can't bypass or it's illegal.

Okay, so here's the thing. If you do not have access to it, do not get access to it. It's that simple. If your school has put measures in place, do not circumvent them by any means. This boils down to a matter of ethics. Just because you CAN do something, does not mean you SHOULD do something. I have seen students get expelled and I've seen them kicked out of classes because they violated the district's Acceptable Use Policy. CS:GO is not worth the risk.
