PC not booting up PLEASE HELP

Go to solution Solved by CaptainWaffles,

ok check all your cable connections and make sure the 24 pin is fully inserted

same goes for the 4 pin power

LOL Turns out I thought the CPU power was a PCI-E cable

I really need help. My system configuration is as follows:

PSU: Cooler Master 650W

CPU: i7 4790k

Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

RAM: Crucial 2 x 8GB (not sure which type)

Storage: Western Digital Black Series 1TB

No graphics card yet

I just finished assembling this PC. I set up my monitor, the power cables, and HDMI. When I turned on my PC the psu fan and cpu fan start spinning (the case fans don't spin) but then stop after 1 second. My case fans are plugged into the motherboard. I hooked up my PC to my monitor through HDMI, and I am not getting anything on the screen (I am not sure if I am getting power to my processor, all I know is that the fans stop spinning). All advice is welcome.

make sure you didn't damage the motherboard. This happened to me a while ago, it turns out I accidentally got some blood on the board and fried it (don't ask)
