Yes - Shadowplay is only reliant on the GPU being Nvidia - but If you haven't bought a 960 I'd suggest looking at a  R9 380

I was originally going with an R9 380 but the Power consumption and Shadowplay made me go with the 960. I know the R9380 is better for gaming, but it's only 3-10 FPS difference, which I don't mind.

R9 380 uses about 15W more than a 960 - after 5 years of maxed usage that will give you 10$ worth of savings. It's negligible - you waste more energy by having a light bulb on.

You can also simply use OBS - a program better than Shadowplay in every way possible. I've used both - I prefer OBS - simply better

Although does OBS have the insta replay feature?

Atleast from what ive heard, OBS can only record after you pressed the record button, although this might have been fixed in a newer update

I've not played around with that but Raptr has it, I am 100% sure.

It is - there's a reason LPers use it over Shadowplay - Shadowplay is more casual and thus has lower recording quality an limited functionality. OBS is the top dog in terms of streaming and recording.
