always try to find RAM of similar speed and voltages

 

higher speed RAM will have to downclock to match the slower RAM and in some cases

 

the PC will refuse to boot because two RAM need different voltages

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

So what I'm hearing is just try to sell it if it wont work?

use it as spare RAM
