So i didn't really know whether to put this under storage or software so i'm just posting it here. Sorry about that.

Anywho, i need a good data recovery program. I have two 4tb drives, one blank to recover to and the other was accidentally formatted with another drive into raid 0. Nothing has been written to it though, just bound in raid and then disconnected after i painfully realized that i had selected the wrong drive :( So does anyone have a good recommendation on what software i should use? Thank you!

Well yeah but the results i got were more advertising and didn't really help much. I was looking more for something like a personal recommendation from someone who's used one of these before.

I keep a copy of every file on a separate external drive so this doesn't happen to me... But I've used Data Rescue PC3 before and its worked on "dead" drives where the OS can't read data off of it.

If I remember correctly Recuva worked pretty good 6+ years ago when I was still working in a PC repair shop. :)

One more vote for Recuva. It took a while, but it worked like a charm.

OP, make sure to load Recuva onto a drive that's not the drive you want to recover from. Use a flash drive or something.

Ok thanks :) Just downloaded it. Time to reinstall the drive and hope for the best. Fingers crossed!
