winzip extraction taking forever!

anyone got anyway to make it faster because at the rate it is going it's gonna take longer to extract it than it did to download it... And my computer isn't exactly not powerful...

I looked up some archive software benchmarks and 7z killed everything else

A game, that is in around 100 parts, which is a compressed ISO

my HDD to the Same HDD in the same folder

HDD speed is 7200 RPM, but even then the HDD is barely hitting 5% usage.

are you downloading the 30gb gta5 with 30gb of viruses ?

Reading and writing to the same drive will effectively halve its speeds (likely worse than half) due to the nature of the process.

It's not unusual for a decent drive to be crippled by reading and writing at the same time.

Its probably just having a hard time decompressing all those viruses in your pirated ISO

Your CPU should be crushing that though, have you tried 7zip? it might just be an error within winzip

Or your hard drive is just actually getting wrecked and it says its not

exactly my thoughts, strange thing is my cpu is barely above 5% as well at 1.74GHz .

Transferring it to my SSD now so that should help alot, i think from now on they are going on my SSD's

So after transferring it to my SSD Raid 0 it's a little better but still not getting the speed i feel it should be.
