Backwards Compatibility (Possibly)

I'm considering buying a brand new $150ish dollar GPU and was wondering what would happen if I put it in my PciE 1.0,??

It may not work since compatibility with 1.X slots varies by card and manufacturer. Check the website of the manufacturer to make sure it works. Also, you many lose 1-5 frames in your games than if you had a PCIe 3.0.

well it'll probably work, but it might be bottle-necked by the bandwidth limitations. But how old is this system?!?

PCI-Express is backwards compatible.  I have used my GTX 660 a PCI-E 3.0x16 in a PCI-E 1.0x16 on my P5K PRO in the past.  Don't worry about it too much.

Hey everybody, Sorry for the late reply; I am planning on buying a GTX 950 and am going to be installing it in a P5KPL AM/PS ASUS motherboard. I'm too fussed what manufacturer I buy it from as long as it works. :-)
