I am new at this and need help.

I have recently purchased 4 power supplys for computer: 230 watt, 235 watt, 200w and one 80-100 watt

i have one Dell precision 380 motherboard i bought from ebay.

i plan to replace the cpu in the mother board to a 4m pentuim d and 8 gb ram.

my concern is the wattage of the power supplys is this enough to power most dell or gigabyte motherboards?

i read on the internet and they always say 300-500 watts.

is 200-235 watts enough? for a computer build in the old dell computer style?

Unfortunately not.  Even a Pentium 4 would stress a 250-350w PSU.  And Pentium D's are basically 2 P4's stuck together.  And those were crazy power suckers.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

A Pentium and no GPU will work on a 200W PSU so no worries there.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

not a OptiPlex, but a dell precision 380 motherboard out of the computer. it is like it though. So a 235 watt power supply will not work?

If you're not using a graphics card it will work fine.
