i hope you're not suggesting stopping a fan while it's running.. best way to do it is to stop the fan before spinning it up, at least you don't damage the bearings

obviously im not going to try the fix in the video but i am going to get a zalman z3 plus case that provides a similar fix

you'll hurt yourself but worst of all you'll damage the motors

But yeah, I had a case fan do that, I just replaced it. I don't exactly know what you could do to fix this.
