Either the i5 or i7 will do you. i5 will work great for games, but if you really want the extra rendering speed, get the i7. 

 

But the i5 won't bottleneck you in 99% of games. 

Well, hello, everyone! I am a YouTubber, much like linus, but I also do games. Out of the following processors below, which would be the best for:

  • High end gaming (1080p, High Settings, Minimal to medium AA)
  • Graphical video rendering in a linear video editor
  • Streaming
  • Everyday use

The processors:

  • AMD FX-8570
  • Intel i5 6600K
  • Intel i7 6700K

6600k or 6700k, whichever fits your budget best, imo

Always go intel for intel when gaming.

 

The 6700k will be ideal.

6700k or if you want to save a bit of money go for a Xeon 1231v3.
