Hey guys, I am planning on doing a year of college and then going to my dad's house (In another state) for a year or two. Would it be possible to do that? I am only doing a year because I get a year free.. It is complicated Do you think that they could transfer my credits back to me after a year? Also the college is Midlands Tech if anybody goes there that could tell me

 

Edit: So I just reread my post I am trying to say, I want to go my first year then go to another state for a year or two then go back to my home state and finish college back at the original college.. I just don't know if I could do that, if the credits would be able to be applied back to me

Your credits don't suddenly evaporate if you take time off. You can go to school for a year and retain those credits. Whether or not they will all transfer 1:1 to another institution is another thing.

Go to community college/JR college. All credits should transfer.

I understand. But things like that are better suited for school officials as they can tell you the what and how.

I'm not transferring colleges Just going to go my first year and then go to another state for a year then go back to my home state and go back to college

If you are just taking a year off your credits should stay. Scholarships might change, but not your credits.
