slim laptop under $450

vanwazltoff

looking for a slim and light laptop for under $450. I don't mind if its used or a refurb if its in good condition

absolute must requirements:

-2x USB 3.0 ports (all of my computer repair equipment is USB 3.0)

-DVD drive (will take this out and replace it with a caddy and put the original HDD in there and use an SSD for boot drive)

-be small enough to carry in my tech back pack (around 14", if its slim i can probably do 15.6")

-has to have virtualization for virtual machines

-RAM either has to be 6GB or better or it has to be upgrade-able if its only 4

-can't be from bad manufacturers like Dell, HP or Toshiba

-RJ-45 port

-HDMI

-must be Linux and USB boot friendly

things i would also like if possible:

-the ability to play about medium settings in games ( an AMD APU)

-1x USB 2.0 port for a wireless mouse though I can just bring a USB 3.0 hub with me

-good build quality

-5+ hours of battery life

-long shift buttons

-a bread slot for making toast  :P

so far this is what I have found:

for one its an HP, 2 its missing 5 keys.

for the S3, i really need an ethernet port and an optical bay, i know i can get external USB versions of each (already have an external optical) but its kind of defeating the purpose, other than i like it. its a second gen i3  and a 320gb HDD vs a third gen i5 and a larger HDD and I believe a its a 20gb msata SSD though it could be a hybrid drive not sure for a few bucks more, i think i am sold on the m5, i cant find anything that suits my needs more for price
